Cervical Range of Motion Test

Many headaches, neck problems and shoulder pain result from restricted neck motion—something we help people with every day. Here’s a simple test you conduct at home to see if you’re a good candidate for chiropractic care:

Click on each of these 3 simple steps and then click  "Assessment"

Step 1

With the test subject comfortably seated and their eyes closed, have them tilt their head up and down several times, coming to a neutral resting position.

Step 2

With their eyes still closed and without moving their shoulders, have them rotate their head fully to the left and hold for a few seconds.

Step 3

With their eyes still closed and without moving their shoulders, have them rotate their head fully to the right and hold for a few seconds.

Assessment
  1. Was the subject able to rotate their head less in one direction?
  2. Was motion restricted or was pain associated with turning in either direction?
  3. Did the subject hear any “popping” or grinding sounds?

If so, these are significant findings. Call Gislason Family Chiropractic to schedule a more thorough examination.

Dr. Eric Asks some important questions of interest to Whitefish residents - Chiropractor Whitefish Dr. Eric Asks...

How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
Would you rather feel good or be healthy?
Ask most people in Whitefish and they want to feel good. Careful! Would you take medicine that makes you feel good, rather than vomit to expel improperly prepared food? Every chiropractic patient knows that you can't measure your health by how you feel. True health is when your body works as it should.
